1. How did you decide what type/genre of movie to make?
We wanted to do something that wouldn't bore the class and something that we would be able to have fun with while filming. We didn't want to have to take the trailer very seriously so by making a comedy we were able to just go crazy with our ideas and do whatever we wanted when it came to filming and editing. We figured that the most inportant part was if we were having fun and a comedy was the best desicion to make if we were to take that into account.
2. Describe what part of the movie trailer project you enjoyed the most. Why?
The most enjoyable part of the project for me was actually filming our scenes. I had a lot of fun just making up ideas and filming a bunch of scenes with my partner. My other favourite part was seeing everything come together as the finished project. I'm pretty impressed with my trailer.
3. How has your learning expanded in terms of creating media products over the course of the semester?
I think my learning has expanded a lot. Before this class, I wasn't knowledgeable in media at all besides the basic ones that are common knowledge. During this semester, i learned about filming, editing, music, foley art, and many more types of media and entertainment which have increased my knowledge of media in general.
4. I would like to share most of the media texts that I did this year. I'm happy of the things I created during the semester. Specifically, i would like to share all of the videos that I was a part of this semester including the foley art, this project, and berets commercial.

Analyzing Ads
The first ad I decided to choose was M&M'S Find Red Canada Promotion.
M&M Ad
1. The ad is a video ad which can be seen on TV.
2. The ad pursuades the buyer by telling them that if they go their website, they have a chance to win a prize. By doing this, the consumer is thinking about the product and has a better chance to buy it. There are also cartoon characters in the ad which may attract the attention of children who will tell their parents to buy the product.
3.I think it does appeal to your emotional appeals by creating the need for excitement and adventure by telling the consumer to enter a contest where they may win a prize. People seeing the ad may get excited about the product because they know that they have a chance of winning something by buying the product and visiting it's site.
4. I believe that the ad is targeting males and females over the age of 18 because in order to enter the contest and win the prize, you must be over the age of 18. Also, a car would be of no use to a child and the contest's prize is a car. The actual product itself is targeted to all ages because it is a candy and they want everyone to buy their candy and enjoy their product.
The second ad that I chose was a MasterCard Print ad.
Gordon Ramsay Dining Experience
1. This ad is a Print ad.
2. MasterCard is trying to persuade the cosumer into appyling and using their credit cards for various reasons. In this specific example, The picture is of a dinner table close up of one person's seat complete with knives, forks, napkins and a broken plate. The tagline is suggesting that if you get a Mastercard you will be able to experience "The Gordon Ramsay Experience" meaning that with a mastercard crazy things may happen.
3. I believe that it does employ emotional appeals by making the consumer feel the need that they need a Mastercard in order to achieve certain things such as the "Gordon Ramsay Experience". It makes the consumer also feel the need of excitement by saying that if they use their cards, there lives will become much more exciting.
4. I think that the ad is targeting older people above the age of 18 who would apply for a mastercard. It directly targets people who have mastercards or who are looking to get one because it shows what kinds of things they may be able to do if they have a mastercard.

Change of Tone
1. What is the original tone/mood of the video?
The original tone of my video is a scary, suspenseful tone. The mood of the video makes you feel scared or confused as to what is going on and what may happen next. The tone is scary because the video is from a scary movie known as The Grudge and in the scene the character is being chased by the grudge. Because of the original music the scene feels very ominous and makes the viewer scared.
2. What song/sound did you choose to change the tone/mood of the video?
The song I chose was called Speedy Gonzales. The song is very upbeat and happy so it completely changes the very ominous mood of the video. Instead of feeling scared it makes you want to laugh because of how funny the song is. Also, because the song is displaying a running scene, it fits in well with the song because the character is running away from the monster.
3. How did it change the tone/mood of the video? Why did it have that effect?
The song made the video feel much less scary and kind of funny. Instead of wondering what is happening next or what is going on, you feel like laughing because of the effect that the song has on the video. The song had this effect because of the tone and mood of the song and because of the sounds and vocals of the song.

Culture Jamming Project
1. What aspect of your culture jam do you find most successful and why?
I find that the most successful aspect of my culture jam is that it really gets the message it is trying to say across well. By just looking at the image, you will know what message is trying to be given. I also this it is very eye-catching because of the various pictures in the actual logo. The changes to the original logo and slogan are easily noticeable as well.
2. What aspect of your culture jam do you find least successful and why?
I think that the least successful part of my culture jam would be that it lacks a variet of colours and really isn't very exciting. I think that some of the pictures are not fully seen because many of them are cut off by the nike symbol.
3. If you could do this project again, what changes would you make to improve it?
If I could do this project again, the main changes that i would make would be more carefully choosing my pictures and choosing more relevant pictures as well as pictures that better fit the postion that they are compressed into to. I might have also added a statistic or some writing to go with it as well to further tell the viewer what nike is doing around the world.

Public Space - Street Art
1. Street art is any art developed in public spaces - that is, "in the streets" - though the term usually refers to art of an illicit nature, as opposed to government sponsored initiatives.
This definition was taken from mimi.hu
2. The article I chose is No Art
Summary:
No Art is a news article from FatCap, a news website. The article contains text and pictures of a Graffiti photographer named Chris Brennan and his photos of various street art around San Fransisco. The article talks about the art exhibit that Chris is holding, named No Art, which shows photos that he took of street art being buffered out around the city. It shows us how that graffiti is handled and talks about how street artists feel about this and how it makes the city look different.
3. One photo that is chose from European Street Painting
This street art is on a city street in Mexico City, Mexico.
The street art incorporates logos of a car company, and various symbols to enhance the picture such as sand and beach items. A new Ford truck is the centrepiece of this street art and is surrounded by an array of shapes and colours attempting to resemble a beach.
This street art appealed to me because i think it looks very cool. It has a 3D image popping out and real objects to enhance the feel of the image. It puts two things i enjoy together; cars and the beach, so that was a selling factor. Mainly the giant car in the middle was what caught my attention.
I think that the main reason that this street art was made was to advertise the new Ford truck being sold in Mexico. It's showing people what the truck looks like.
Banksy encourages you to just use his art freely because he does not sell his art or produce anything out of it. I think he does this because he feels that art is free and everyone should be able to freely enjoy it. By doing this, he is giving them the freedom to view and see art.
The second photo that I chose was from Wikimedia
This street art is located on a wall in Austin, Texas.
You can see a person holding a sign while there are a few more signs in the air and on the floor. Each sign shows us a message. There are various colour and shaped on this street such as the characters blue jacket and the red writing on the signs.
This street art appealed to me because I liked the way that the character looked and I liked the fact that the messages on the signs get changed every so often.
I don't think that this street art is making a specific statement because of the fact that the words are changed every so often. I think whatever is written on the signs is what is on the artist's mind at any given time.
